The 2016 tournament supported the Blue Ridge Mountain Rescue Group in recognition of the outstanding work done by that group in the search for Hannah shortly after she disappeared, and Habitat for Humanity, a charity that Hannah was proud to support through the Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program.
The 2017 tournament again supported two charities, Alice's Kids, a charity local to our home that provides financial support for children in need, and Alteristic Inc., an organization that has developed programs that are focused on reducing power-based personal violence including the Green Dot bystander intervention program that has been implemented at UVA.
The 2018 tournament will support two 501 (c)(3) charities, the National Association for the Protection of Children, a national organization that works to protect children from physical, sexual and emotional abuse, and Pitch In For Baseball / Softball, an organization that provides new and gently used baseball and softball equipment to underprivileged boys and girls in the United States and worldwide who want to play ball but lack the equipment to do so.
